Purchased by her first owner, she was delivered to Dartmouth, where she spent 11 years being sailed out of Dartmouth and lightly used for short holiday breaks. She was never raced and spent winters ashore, and the engine was professionally serviced. In the spring of 2000, La Mouette was purchased by her second owner from the Retreat Brokerage.
